Lesson terms
The short version: pay before the lesson, give 24 hours' notice to cancel, and keep a parent or carer nearby for pupils under 16.
Who these terms are between
These terms are between you (the parent or carer, or the adult learner) and Dr Saba Qummer, trading as MathsTutorUK.
The free assessment
The first 30‑minute assessment is free and doesn't commit you to booking lessons.
Fees and payment
- Fees are listed on the fees page and are per one-hour lesson.
- Lessons are paid in advance. A lesson is confirmed once payment is received.
- A block of 10 lessons paid in advance is discounted by 10%.
- If you stop before using a block, unused lessons are refunded. Lessons already taken are recalculated at the standard hourly fee.
- Fees may change, with at least one month's notice. Lessons already paid for are not affected.
Cancelling or moving a lesson
- With at least 24 hours' notice, a lesson can be moved or refunded at no charge.
- With less than 24 hours' notice, or if the pupil doesn't join, the lesson is charged in full.
- If Saba has to cancel, the lesson is moved to another time or refunded in full.
Lessons
- Lessons take place online by video call. Lessons are not recorded.
- For pupils under 16, a parent or carer should be at home during lessons.
- If a technical problem on Saba's side shortens a lesson, the lost time is made up.
- Tuition supports learning but can't guarantee a particular grade.
Coursework
Saba won't complete coursework, assignments or projects that are assessed by a school or exam body. Guidance is given within the rules of the relevant course.
